2018年全球laas的市场规模达到324亿美元，亚马逊AWS仍然是一家独大，市场份额48%。亚马逊AWS、微软 Azure、阿里云排全球前三，谷歌紧随其后；但在2019年谷歌反超阿里云。
IDC发布的《中国公有云服务市场（2019上半年）跟踪》报告显示2019上半年中国公有云服务整体市场规模（IaaS/PaaS/SaaS）达到54.2亿美元，其中IaaS市场增速稳健，同比增长72.2%，PaaS市场增速有所回落，同比增长92.6%。前十厂商占有中国公有云市场超90%份额。IaaS市场，阿里、腾讯、中国电信、AWS、华为位居前五，占据总体75.3%的市场份额。
亚马逊AWS
- 2002年初亚马逊已经规划云计算并推出了AWS，
- 2006年正式推出云计算产品，
- 2013年，AWS中标CIA的私有云6亿美元超级订单后，奠定了AWS在云计算产业中的领导地位。
数据中心：
AWS目前已经拥有遍及全球22个国家和地区共计69个区域性数据中心，1700+网络节点数量，且计划在印度尼西亚、意大利、日本、南非和西班牙新增五个 AWS 区域，同时再增加 16 个可用区。
产品概况：
目前平台上提供了上千种服务包含了从基础服务到管理到应用的全部服务类型。其中基础服务包括计算、储存、网络等管理服务包括管理工具、安全配置、监控运行等服务。

微软 Azure

- 2014年，Windows Azure改名为Microsoft Azure，成为一个更加开放的云平台，支持多种编程语言。
产品概况：微软公司的商业云产品主要包括laaS、PaaS、SaaS三个领域。

基本概况：2009年阿里云成立，随后成为中国云计算龙头公司，实际上是脱胎于阿里内部IT架构，经过10余年的发展，目前已经发展成为中国第一、全球第三的公有云服务提供商。
数据中心：目前阿里云已经建立超过1000PB的大数据存储和分析能力的数据中心业务遍及全球200多个国家和地区，为各个地区的企业、机构、政府提供服务。
市场情况：就全球而言，根据Gartner统计阿里云2018年全球份额第三，占比8%，相比AWS和微软仍有较大差距。就国内而言，阿里云市场占有率超过第2-5名总和。
产品概况：阿里云包含了从底层数据中心到上层产品解决方案的整套架构体系。

财务数据：阿里云连续3年营收同比翻倍增长，2017年营业收入为111.7亿元，并且阿里云的付费用户数实现快速提升，在2017年Q2已经达到100万户的数量。
阿里巴巴2020Q'3财报显示，阿里云营收107.21亿人民币，单季度首次超过100亿元，同比增长62%。
UCloud
基本概况：UCloud（优刻得）是国内领先的公有云服务商，自主研发并提供计算资源、存储资源、网络资源等企业必需的基础IT架构服务。
